WHO WE ARE

WHO WE ARE

At Fjordens Grøde, we believe food should be local, seasonal, and respected from farm to table. Based in the south of “Boknafjord” in Rogaland, we connect households directly with local farmers, growers, and foragers — bringing fresh produce and wild ingredients straight to your door every week.

We started Fjordens Grøde with a simple mission: make high-quality local food accessible to every home while reducing unnecessary food waste. By working closely with trusted local producers, we give a second life to perfectly good Class B vegetables and ingredients that are often overlooked despite their excellent quality and taste.

Our weekly vegetable boxes are guided by nature and built around what is freshest and in season. Every delivery is a curated selection of local vegetables, herbs, and unique seasonal products sourced directly from farms and producers in the region. No middlemen, no unnecessary transport, and no waste — just honest food grown close to you.

But we are more than a delivery service. We want to help people reconnect with local food culture and better understand the ingredients they use every day. Through tips, inspiration, and seasonal recommendations, we aim to make cooking with local produce simple, enjoyable, and accessible.

As we continue to grow, so does our vision. Fjordens Grøde is building a stronger network between local producers and the community, creating a sustainable and reliable hub for local food distribution in Rogaland. We are also developing our own line of handcrafted products — including preserves, ferments, sauces, and dried goods — made from locally sourced ingredients and rooted in zero-waste principles.

We are a small team driven by passion, knowledge, and deep respect for food, nature, and the people who produce it. Our goal is simple: to make eating local easier, more affordable, and more meaningful for everyone.

Welcome to Fjordens Grøde — local food, the way it was meant to be.

A PLAN B FOR CLASS B

A Second Chance for Exceptional Produce

Not every fruit and vegetable grows in a perfect shape — and that’s exactly what makes them special.

Our carefully curated boxes are filled with fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local farmers. Many of these ingredients are often overlooked by traditional retailers simply because they are too large, too small, unusually shaped, or part of a surplus harvest. Yet their quality, flavour, and freshness remain exactly the same.

By choosing our boxes, you help reduce food waste, support local agriculture, and enjoy the very best of each season. Every delivery is packed with colourful, nutritious produce selected with care, bringing honest food from nearby farms directly to your table.

Ordering window is now CLOSED. We will be OPENING again on SUNDAY at 19:00. 😊

The ordering window opens from Sundays at 19:00 until Wednesdays at 19:00. We make deliveries every Friday from 9:00. Thank you for supporting LOKAL.

LA PAISANA cheesecakes

BRIMSE GÅRD

LA PAISANA cheesecakes

“La paisana was the tender name my grandfather used for my grandmother” – A word filled with love, roots, and belonging.

Among many memories, one stood out: her cheese cake recipe. A dessert that became the heart of every family gathering.

Today, every slice we share is a tribute to them-an echo of their love, their tradition, and their legacy. La paisana cheesecakes – baked with love, served with memory.

BRIMSE GÅRD

A beautiful farm located on an island in the middle of the waters of “Boknafjord”.

This vegetables farm is very well known inside the restaurant world, where Brimse gård is a respected source of top quality vegetables from its fields and from the wild.

Root vegetables, leafs, fruits, edible flowers, herbs, salads, beans and much more.

Now can be accessible for everyone at their homes since our collaboration includes:

-Top quality class b products that restaurants and shops may not want to use due its shape, size or looking. That’s really not a problem as long as a solution that compensates appears. Their perfect class b vegetables are ideal to include in our weekly harvest boxes, together with products from other local producers.

-Seasonal local vegetables and fruits which you can ask them to harvest for you.

Together, Fjordens Grøde and Brimse Gård came up with this idea. And now is finally happening.

Yes, Brimse gård is where we learned everything we know and it is thanks to Frode Ljosdal who managed to inspire us with his knowledge, wisdom and passion.

Yes. Our range changes throughout the year depending on what our local farmers, producers, and foragers have available. Shopping seasonally means fresher food, better flavour, and a lower environmental impact.

Freshness is our priority. Many of our products are harvested, baked, produced, or foraged shortly before delivery, so they arrive at your door at their very best.

If you won’t be home when your order arrives, don’t worry. During checkout, you can let us know your preferred safe place where you’d like us to leave your delivery box, such as by your front door, on your porch, or in another secure location.

We’ll follow your delivery instructions whenever possible. To maintain the quality of your fresh products, we recommend choosing a shaded or sheltered spot and refrigerating any perishable items as soon as you return home.

To reduce waste and support a more sustainable way of shopping, we charge a small deposit for our reusable delivery boxes.

When you’ve unpacked your order, simply return the box during your next delivery. Once we receive it, you’ll receive a store coupon equal to the full value of your box deposit.

You can use this coupon on any future order whenever you choose. It’s our version of Norway’s successful bottle deposit (“pant”) system—helping us reuse packaging, reduce waste, and keep local food delivery as sustainable as possible.

Yes. When you create your account, you can let us know about any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences, helping us provide products that better suit your needs.

However, we recommend reminding us of any allergies or special dietary requirements during checkout each time you place an order. This helps ensure we have your most up-to-date information when preparing your delivery.

Please note that while we do our best to accommodate dietary preferences and avoid allergens whenever possible, some products are prepared by independent local producers and may have been handled in facilities where allergens are present.

Your satisfaction is very important to us. If you receive a product that is damaged, missing, or doesn’t meet your expectations, please contact us as soon as possible.

We’ll review the issue and work with you to find the best solution. Depending on the situation, this may include a replacement product, a refund, store credit, or a discount on a future order.

As a business built on trust, quality, and supporting local producers, we’re committed to making things right whenever something doesn’t go as planned.
